✦ Synopsis

Tetramethylendiamine and hexamethylendiamine were reacted in solution with dithiooxamide to polythiooxamides. The polymers could be moulded a t higher temperatures and pressures to tough ' and in the case of hexamethylendiamine polycondensates, to elastic materials. Materials from the tetramethylendiamine-dithiooxamid-polycondensate are tough and hard. The products are colored brown to black and have poor solubility in most of organic solvents.
