✦ Synopsis

In the title coordination polymer, [Ni(C 8 H 4 O 4 )(C 4 H 10 N 2 )] n , the Ni(II) atom is situated on a C 2 axis and is six-coordinated by two N atoms from two piperazine (pip) molecules, four O atoms from two bidentate and chelating terephthalate (tp) anions, forming a distorted octahedron.
