✦ Synopsis
In the title coordination polymer, [Mn(C 7 H 7 N 2 O 4 )Cl] n , each Mn 2+ ion has a distorted octahedral geometry, defined by four acetate O atoms from four different imidazolyl-1,3-diyldiacetate (IDA À ) ligands and two Cl À ions. The IDA À groups serve as bridging ligands to link the Mn 2+ ions into a twodimensional layer structure.

In the title coordination polymer, [Mn(HIDC)(H 2 O)] n (HIDC 2À is the 1H-imidazole-4,5-dicarboxylate dianion, C 5 H 2 N 2 O 4 ), each Mn II atom is in an octahedral coordination by one N atom and four carboxylate O atoms from three HIDC 2À anions, and one water molecule. The Mn II atoms are linked
zwitterions link Cd 2+ cations into a network of [Cd(C 7 H 7 N 2 O 4 ) 2 ] n sheets. The carboxylate arms of the ligand chelate to the metal, which shows square-antiprismatic coordination. The Cd 2+ ion occupies a special position 2 site symmetry. The crystals were found to be twinned. metal-organic
