✦ Synopsis
Abstract
A planar rectangular split ring shaped band‐pass structure is proposed and analyzed by coupled line equivalent circuit instead of commonly used LC resonator circuit. The derived results were then used to design two‐ and three‐cascaded rectangular split ring shape structures. Two prototypes were both designed at center frequency at 2.45 GHz, simulated by microwave simulators: IE3D and microwave office, and fabricated on FR‐4 substrate. The simulated and experimental results show good agreement within 0–10 GHz. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
