✦ Synopsis

The first part of the paper is concerned with the obtainment of ultrafine powders through the physical procedures designed to produce magnetic fluids. In the second part of the paper an experimental installation is presented in argon plasma for the production of the ultrafine iron powders and respectively the ultrafine graphite powders.

Pure tribasic lead sulfate hydrate was prepared by two different methods and characterized by X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy. One of these methods consisted of grinding the starting materials while the other involved the precipitation of the tribasic lead sulfate hydrate from a l
