Abstract

In the present paper we are publishing the infra‐red spectra of glycerol‐α‐kephalins and glycolkephalins synthesized in our laboratory. These spectra are discussed in relation with spectra of glycerol‐α‐kephalins already available in the literature.

## Abstract A new synthesis of glycerol‐α‐kephalins and glycolkephalins is described. The corresponding silver benzyl diacylglycerol‐α‐phosphate or silver benzyl glycolphosphate is boiled in benzene solution with 2‐(dibenzylamino)ethyl bromide, and the __O,N,N__‐tribenzyl derivative of the kephalin

## Abstract __O,N,N__‐tribenzyl‐glycerol‐α‐kephalins have been obtained in two diastereoisomeric forms. Upon hydrogenolysis the two isomers give the same kephalin. This diastereoisomerism, due to the presence of an asymmetric carbon atom and an asymmetric phosphorus atom, is discussed in some deta
