Abstract

O,N,N‐tribenzyl‐glycerol‐α‐kephalins have been obtained in two diastereoisomeric forms. Upon hydrogenolysis the two isomers give the same kephalin.

This diastereoisomerism, due to the presence of an asymmetric carbon atom and an asymmetric phosphorus atom, is discussed in some detail.
