## Abstract In the present paper we are publishing the infra‐red spectra of glycerol‐α‐kephalins and glycolkephalins synthesized in our laboratory. These spectra are discussed in relation with spectra of glycerol‐α‐kephalins already available in the literature.

✦ Synopsis
Abstract
A new synthesis of glycerol‐α‐kephalins and glycolkephalins is described. The corresponding silver benzyl diacylglycerol‐α‐phosphate or silver benzyl glycolphosphate is boiled in benzene solution with 2‐(dibenzylamino)ethyl bromide, and the O,N,N‐tribenzyl derivative of the kephalin thus obtained is converted into the kephalin by hydrogenolysis. The overall yields are 80‐90 %.
