✦ Synopsis
The ability of Qnara cahnch L. protease to perform pepticle synthesis was investigated using an aqueous organic biphasic system and the amino acid derivatives CBZPhe and MetOMe. The reaction products were separated by BP-HF'LC and identified by amino acid analysis and by El-MS. Significant amounts of the dipeptide CBZ.Phe.MetOMe was produced within 24h by Cynara carduncuhts L. protease as compared with the amount produced by pepsin under the same conditions.
