✦ Synopsis
The composition of distilled lime oil has been investigated. The analytical techniques used to fractionate the oils and identify each component were: open column chromatography, gas chromatography, gas chromatography±mass spectrometry. Among the 113 compounds identi®ed, 28 are reported to be present in distilled lime oil for the ®rst time. The main dierences between the cold-pressed and the distilled lime oil are also discussed.
