✦ Synopsis
The essential oil of Nepetu crassifolia Boiss. & Buhse (Lamiaceae) was prepared by steam distillation and analysed by GC and GC-MS. Thirty-five substances out of the 52 detected were identified. The major constituents were found to be stereoisomers of nepetalactones (72.8%) and 1,8cineole (9%). &a, 78, 7up-Nepetalactone was isolated and identified by 'Hand 13C-NMR.
