โœฆ Synopsis

The Fokker-Planck method for the calculation of carrier density fluctuations in semiconductors, which has been discussed previously 1) is applied to a semiconductor with transitions between the valence band, the conduction band, and one kind of impurity levels. I t is shown that the results are quite consistent with Burgess' equations 4), obtained by the thermodynamic free-energy method.

In this paper a new methodJor estimating the probability density function of trqffic noise is proposed. The method is based on the hypothesis of the normality of emitted noise by each single noise source as well as the distribution of trqffic flow which depends upon the type of the traffic. The E~ff

## Abstract The commonly used simulation techniques, Metropolis Monte Carlo (MC) and molecular dynamics (MD) are of a dynamical type which enables one to sample system configurations __i__ correctly with the Boltzmann probability, __P__, while the __value__ of __P__ is not provided directly; theref
