We have used the e\pc:imental energy levels of the B state of Na2 to determine the shape of the potentL1 curve. The potential curve obtained has been used to determine the Fran&-Condon o\rrlnp of the continuum vibrational levels in the B state with bound levels in the ground ekctronic state.

✦ Synopsis
All quasibound vibrational encr~y levels U' = 27-33 of the NaZ B 'no state arc accessed via a triple resonance C\CitatiOn scheme: cw modulated gain spectroscopy (MCS). Two independent analyses involve a Pad&type near-dissociation representation of the observed energies and non-linear least-squares fits to the lineshapes. The results arc values for the barrier hei$it (379.3 f 2.3 cm-* above the center of gravity of the 3s + 3p separated atom limit), the total number of quasibound. rotationless energy lcvcls (~'~a, = 33). and tunnellin~ lifetimes for u' = 33.3.
