โฆ Synopsis
Coiiision-free evolution of the fluorescence spcctmm ofp-dzfluorobenzene was observed directly by means of picosecond t&me gal&g A rapid evolution (6-10 ps) of the structured portion of the emission was at~ibutcd to near resonant light scattering, while a dower (= 103 ps) decay of the ratio of the structured to unst~ct~red parts of the spectrum was a&r&buted to intramofecuhr vibr;itional rekxation. This result compares we11 with the IVR tunemeasured byO= quenching methods.
