✦ Synopsis
Two new hybrid organic+inorganic compounds (H 3 NCH 2 CH 2 NH 3 )[Fe(C 2 O 4 )MoO 4 ] (1) and Fe(H 2 NCH 2 CH 2 NH 2 ) (2) were synthesized by the hydrothermal reaction between Fe(C 2 O 2 ) ' 2H 2 O, molybic acid, and ethylenediamine. The structure of 1 consists of 2-D layers formed by [Fe(C 2 O 4 )MoO 4 ] 2؊ nets with H 3 N ؉ CH 2 CH 2 N ؉ H 3 dications situated in the gaps. The structure of 2 features a double-layered structure formed by FeMoO 4 units that are capped by cis-coordinated H 2 NCH 2 CH 2 NH 2 molecules.
