✦ Synopsis
The title compound, C 20 H 14 F 4 N 4 O 2 , has been synthesized as part of our ongoing investigations into three-dimensional supramolecules or polymers with intriguing structural topologies and properties. The molecule crystallizes around a inversion centre, with one half-molecule in the asymmetric unit and a dihedral angle of 62.26 (9) between the pyridine ring and the central benzene ring. Intermolecular N-HÁ Á ÁO hydrogen bonds between adjacent molecules result in a onedimensional chain, and C-HÁ Á ÁN and C-HÁ Á ÁO interactions may be effective in the stabilization of these one-dimensional motifs.
