A novel monopulse antenna for a tracking radar system is proposed using the time modulated antenna array technique. The time modulation technique applied in the antenna arrays overcomes the usual need for compromise between sum and difference beams and avoids the need for implementation of two separ

β¦ Synopsis
A new design technique for an antipodal Vivaldi antenna is presented for developing the ground penetrating radar (GPR) landmine detection system. The newly developed antipodal Vivaldi antenna, which takes a parallel strip-line as its feeding construction, possesses much better properties than the normal one, which has exponentially tapered microstrip-line as its feeding transition.

## Abstract This Letter addresses some problems arising in smart antenna systems (SAS). The problems considered in this Letter are (1) the criterion of computing the weight vector, (2) the number of quantization bits for the weight vector, (3) the selection of the reference antenna element, and (4)
## Abstract The antenna system for a dedicated shortβrange communication (DSRC) system must have pattern characteristics that satisfy the system's specifications. Also, the antenna system needs to have good space efficiency for mounting on a roadside base station. The proposed antenna has the trave
## Abstract In this letter, two active integrated antenna (AIA) circuits employing an Hβshaped patch antenna operating at 2.45 GHz are presented. In the first design a probe feed position on the antenna is found to give an input impedance of 50 Ξ© at the fundamental frequency. For the second design
