✦ Synopsis

A new design technique for an antipodal Vivaldi antenna is presented for developing the ground penetrating radar (GPR) landmine detection system. The newly developed antipodal Vivaldi antenna, which takes a parallel strip-line as its feeding construction, possesses much better properties than the normal one, which has exponentially tapered microstrip-line as its feeding transition.

A novel monopulse antenna for a tracking radar system is proposed using the time modulated antenna array technique. The time modulation technique applied in the antenna arrays overcomes the usual need for compromise between sum and difference beams and avoids the need for implementation of two separ
