The title compound, C 6 H 8 N 4 S, crystallizes as the thione tautomer, with intramolecular NÁ Á ÁH-N and SÁ Á ÁH-N hydrogen bonds, andstacking along the b axis. Intermolecular NÁ Á ÁH-N hydrogen bonds link the molecules into one-dimensional sheets stacked along the c axis.
