✦ Synopsis

The title compound, C~15~H~14~F~2~N~2~O~2~S, was synthesized by the reaction of 1-(2,4-difluorophenyl)ethanone and 4-methylbenzenesulfonohydrazide in ethanol under reflux. The crystal structure is stabilized mainly through intermolecular N—H...O hydrogen bonds. The C=N—N group displays a trans conformation.
