β¦ Synopsis
Darcy and Lizzy are married and have just left on their honeymoon.
Mr Bennet is happy as three of his daughters are now married. Mrs Bennet is less happy as two of her daughters are not.
Darcy and Lizzy enjoy the sun, sea and sites of Europe, making their way through Italy and ending up in Greece. Unbeknown to them, matters are unfolding at Longbourn. And not just mundane matters, but matters of the heart.
Kitty meets a flautist in a provincial orchestra called Mr Clarey. They fall in love and plan to marry sooner rather than later.
However, thanks to the machinations of Mr Wickham, Mary meets Mr Catt. Mr Catt is about to inherit a fortune from his uncle. However, a codicil in the will creates difficulties.
Mr Catt proposes to Mary but stipulates that the wedding must take place within a few weeks, or the inheritance may be lost.
Mrs Bennet says it is unthinkable that Lizzy should miss Maryβs wedding. But will the thought of losing a fortune have an even more detrimental effect on her poor nerves?
Her dilemma is heightened further when Lizzy does not return to England as expected. She and Darcy are enjoying themselves so much that they decide to stay an extra week. And Maryβs wedding is only a week awayβ¦
This is a funny and affectionate variation on Jane Austenβs beloved novel, taking place beginning as Darcy and Lizzy set out on their honeymoon.
