In the title complex, [Cu(C~9~H~7~O~3~)(C~27~H~27~N~7~)]ClO~4~·0.5C~3~H~7~NO, the Cu^II^ ion five-coordinate with an N~4~O ligand set and has a distorted trigonal–bipyramidal geometry.
