β¦ Synopsis
A patient with Philadelphia (Phi)-negative. breakpoint cluster region (bcr)-positive chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) is reported. Pulsed-field gel electrophoretic analysis demonstrated the comigration of both ABL and BCR sequences on the same BsMll and Sad1 fragment. Moreover, in situ hybridization studies demonstrated that ABL sequences had been moved from band 9q34 to 22q I I and that the additional t ( 12; I2)(q I 3;p 12) was not involved in the ABUBCR related translocation. Nevertheless, a possible role of oncogenes or regulatory sequences activated or inhibited by the additional translocation cannot be excluded.

## Abstract Leukemic cells from two patients with Philadelphiaβnegative chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) were investigated: I) Cytogenetics showed a normal 46.XY karyotype in both cases, 2) molecular studies revealed rearrangement of the MβBCR region and formation of __BCRβABL__ fusion mRNA with b2a2
## Abstract The __NUP98__ gene at 11p15 is known to be fused to __DDX10, HOXA9, HOXA11, HOXA13, HOXD11, HOXD13, LEDGF__, __NSD1, NSD3, PMX1__, __RAP1GDS1__, and __TOP1__ in various hematologic malignancies. The common theme in all __NUP98__ chimeras is a transcript consisting of the 5β² part of __NU
We identified a novel human long fatty acyl CoA synthetase 2 gene, ACS2, as a new ETV6 fusion partner gene in a recurrent t(5;12)(q31;p13) translocation in a patient with refractory anemia with excess blasts (RAEB) with basophilia, a patient with acute myelogenous leukemia (AML) with eosinophilia, a
