β¦ Synopsis
Abstract
In this paper, a microstrip patch antenna array on ground with PBG is simulated and measured. It is shown that the photonic bandβgap (PBG) can suppress harmonics and optimize the current distribution on the patches. As a result, the gain of the antenna array is improved and the sideβlobe level is reduced. Β© 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. ## Abstract This paper presents a twoβarm microstrip spiral antenna with a circular aperture on the ground plane that produces either an axial beam or a tilted beam, depending on the operating frequency. A 50βΞ© microstrip feedline is divided into two 100βΞ© lines that feed the spiral antenna from th
## Abstract The performance of a microstrip patch antenna operating against a carbon fiber composite ground plane is investigated and compared with results for a copper ground, both numerically and experimentally. An electromagnetic model (EM) of the composite antenna is developed using Microwave St

## Abstract Single layer single feed dual and multifrequency patch antenna is introduced. Resonant frequency can be reduced and frequency ratio can be increased by cutting unequal rectangular slots at the edge. C band and X band operation can be successfully achieved with a size reduction of about
In this research, a patch array antenna for mobile satellite communications aiming at ETS-VIII applications has been developed. The ground plane size effects on the antenna characteristics were investigated. Finite and infinite ground planes were analysed by the finite integration technique (FIT) fo
