✦ Synopsis
A design of broadband circular microstrip antenna with embedded reacti¨e loading directly matched to a 50 ⍀ microstrip feed line is presented. This design is achie¨ed owing to the integrated reacti¨e loading, a T-shaped microstrip-line section embedded in a nearly rectangular slot cut near the patch edge, which significantly broadens the antenna bandwidth and makes the input impedance seen along the patch boundary ¨aried. The latter beha¨ior makes direct matching of the proposed broadband circular microstrip antenna with a 50 ⍀ microstrip feed line feasible.
