The characteristics of a slot-coupled circular microstrip antenna with chip-resistor and chip-capacitor loadings are studied. With a chip-resistor loading, a significant decrease in the resonant frequency of the microstrip antenna is achie¨ed, which can result in a large antenna size reduction, and

Figure 6 Cutoff frequency f and maximum frequency f as T max a function of drain source bias of 1.25 = 90 m 2 double-heterojunction PHEMT device
In summary, we have presented the design and performance of double-heterojunction PHEMTs for linear power applications. The dc and RF results indicate that DH᎐PHEMT is a better candidate for high linearity, power, and efficiency and low-power-consumption MMICs.

A design of broadband circular microstrip antenna with embedded reacti¨e loading directly matched to a 50 ⍀ microstrip feed line is presented. This design is achie¨ed owing to the integrated reacti¨e loading, a T-shaped microstrip-line section embedded in a nearly rectangular slot cut near the patch
Simply by loading the microstrip antenna at a suitable ( ) position using a single chip resistor, circular polarization CP radiation can be obtained with a single feed. In addition, this design can also pro¨ide an enhanced CP bandwidth. Results of the proposed CP design applied to circular and recta
A new design of a reduced-size triangular microstrip antenna fed using an inset microstrip line is presented. The antenna size reduction is achie¨ed by loading a chip resistor at the triangle tip of the patch. With an increasing resistance of the loaded chip resistor, the antenna bandwidth is signif
