Abstract
A microstrip bandpass filter (BPF) using a triangular patch resonator is introduced in this paper. With one coupling gap between the input and output ports together with the patch configurations, the filter can realize DC block, lower insertion loss, and higher power‐handling capability. For demonstration purposes, a filter of this type is designed, fabricated, and tested and the measured results for the fabricated BPF show good consistency with the calculated results. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
