โœฆ Synopsis

Micro-Raman spectra measurements in the wavenumber region 20-900 cm-1 reveal a complex temperature dependence of the Raman phonon modes on cooling ceramics down to 70 K. An anomalous line narrow-Bi 2 Ti 4 O 11 ing behavior of some phonon modes is observed and is associated with ordered distributions of Bi atoms as the temperature is decreased. An anomaly in intensity, wavenumber and linewidth for the phonon modes at ยฟ250 K is attributed to an order-disorder phase transition at this temperature. The origin of higher wavenumber phonon modes and the soft mode at 38 cm-1 is discussed.

Raman spectra of solid selenium dioxide at temperatures between 15 K and 295 K are reported. No evidence of a solid state phase transition in this range is found. Small wavenumber shifts and significant sharpening of spectral features are observed at low temperatures, the latter resulting in many mo

A Raman spectroscopic study was carried out on aqueous solutions of R 4 NCl (R = methyl, ethyl and npropyl) at low temperatures and in the glassy state. The changes in the Raman OD stretching spectra with temperature, R 4 NCl and concentration are discussed in connection with hydrophobic hydration.

Fourier transform Raman scattering spectra were measured for Cd 1--x Zn x Te (x = 0.04) surfaces by different treatments. By analyzing the anti-Stokes Raman spectra and correlating with surface current-voltage (I-V) curves, it is concluded that Raman measurement under low temperature is effective in
