In the title compound, [Zn(C 4 H 13 N 3 ) 2 ]Cl 2 ÁH 2 O, the Zn II atom is coordinated by six N atoms from two diethylenetriamine ligands in a distorted octahedral geometry. The complex cation is the mer isomer.
