## Abstract A small highโirradiance laser ionization timeโofโflight mass spectrometer (LIโTOFMS) with orthogonal sample introduction was described. High irradiance of 6 ร 10^10^ W/cm^2^ at 532 nm from a Nd : YAG laser was applied in the experiment to get a high ionization degree in plasma and to di

โฆ Synopsis
We report a simple method for obtaining a mass-analyzed threshold ionization spectrum, equivalent to a zero kinetic energy photoelectron spectrum, using a standard supersonic beam coupled to a commercial time of flight mass spectrometer. The resolution achieved without any change in the conventional experimental arrangement is IO cm-' (full width at half maximum).

A method for accurate mass measurement of oligonucleotides up to a DNA 35-mer based on matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization (MALDI) mass spectrometry is described. In this method, a time-lag focusing time-of-flight mass spectrometer is used to achieve high mass resolution to resolve adduct io
