Optically detected electron paramagnetic resonance (OD-EPR) spectra at 22.9,75.0, and 94.9 GHz of the luminescent state of Cu+ ions in NaF are reported. The EPR spectra do not support the current T,,('E,, 3d94s) "atomic" assignment of the luminescent state, but point to a paramagnetic species with g
