✦ Synopsis

The relations between attractors, input-to-state-stability, and controllability properties are discussed. In particular it is shown that loss of the attractor property under perturbations is connected with a qualitative change in the controllability properties due to a 'merger' with a control set.

This paper considers the problem of stabilization of linear systems for which only the magnitudes of outputs are measured. It is shown that, if a system is controllable and observable, then one can ΓΏnd a stabilizing controller, which is robust with respect to observation noise (in the ISS sense).
