✦ Synopsis
The D 'II" state of Li, has been investigated with a frequency-doubled narrow-band pulsed dye laser in a cold collimated lithium beam and in a heatpipe. Molecular constants are derived and different kinds of perturbations by several 'Z, states and a nearby 'H, state are found. The results are discussed and compared with recent ab initio calculations.

The laser excitation spectrum of the Br,+ molecular ion was observed at rotational resolution for the first time, with the ions being generated by Penning ionization. In contrast to Cl: and F2+ but in agreement with recent theoretical work, no vibrational or rotational perturbations are observed. Th
In the near-infrared and red wavelength region around 680-760 nm, the spectrum of the A2H-X2]~ transition of gaseous SrH appears. By applying laser spectroscopic methods, a time-resolved experiment has been performed on the low-lying A2H state of strontium hydride. No local influences on the A21-I s
