✦ Synopsis

In the near-infrared and red wavelength region around 680-760 nm, the spectrum of the A2H-X2]~ transition of gaseous SrH appears. By applying laser spectroscopic methods, a time-resolved experiment has been performed on the low-lying A2H state of strontium hydride. No local influences on the A21-I state were found due to interactions with the low-lying A '2A state, as in the case of the BaH molecule. The following zero-pressure lifetime was obtained for the SrH molecule: ~'(AEHI/2 (v' = 0)) = 33.8 + 1.9 ns.

We report a time-resolved investigation of the low-lying state, B 2~, of gaseous SrF using laser spectroscopy with the following derived zero-pressure lifetime 7(B2y.(v '= 0))= 25.4\_ 0.8 ns. The A 2 ⌸-X 2 ⌺ ϩ transition of 174 Yb 35 Cl and 172 Yb 35 Cl has been rotationally analyzed for the first time. Doppler-limited laser excitation spectroscopy with selective detection of fluorescence was used to obtain spectra of the 0 -0 and 1-0 bands with a measurement accuracy of approximately 0.

The laser excitation spectrum of the Br,+ molecular ion was observed at rotational resolution for the first time, with the ions being generated by Penning ionization. In contrast to Cl: and F2+ but in agreement with recent theoretical work, no vibrational or rotational perturbations are observed. Th
