โœฆ Synopsis

09 Combustion (burners, combustion systems) oxygen system is similar to that of well-established mechanisms for lower hydrocarbons. Special attention is directed towards an accurate description of species relevant to pollutant formation. The lowtemperature oxidation mechanism is lumped from similar mechanisms in the recent literature to account for every type of reaction appearing in this combustion regime, e.g. thermal decomposition of alkanes, Hatom abstraction, alkyl radical isomerization, and {b}-decomposition for the high temperature range, and a few additional reactions at low temperatures. The transition between low and high temperatures with a negative temperature dependence is excellently reproduced.

Ukrainian high-ash coal in pressurized fluidized bed Korchevoy, Y. and Maystrenko, A. Proceedings o[ the International Conference on Fluidized Bed Combustion, 2001, (16), 1550-1567. This paper is devoted to investigating the kinetics of interaction of Ukrainian high ash coal cokes with CO2 and 02 in pressurized circulated fluidized bed (PCFB). Kinetics investigations were carried out at the laboratory facility for the purpose of finding the characteristics of conversion of the coal and coal cokes with gasesreagents in PCFB. On basis of investigation results the following aspects were determined and showed: kinetics characteristics of interaction of Ukrainian coal cokes including high ash coal with CO2 and Oz (Arrhenius approximation) in PCFB over wide range of changing its ash content, concentration of gases-reagents, pressure and temperature of conversion; increasing the speed of conversion of its cokes under increasing the pressure, concentration of COz and Oz and under decreasing ash content and the degree of coal metamorphism; the constants of elementary stages of reaction C + COz (Langmuir-Hinshelwood approximation).

To examine the influence of calcium on the mechanisms of brown coal pyrolysis and gasification, the morphology of chars from raw and calcium-exchanged YaUourn brown coal was analysed. The chars were obtained by slow pyrolysis in a thermo gravimetric analyser and rapid pyrolysis in fluidized bed reac
