Abstract
The kinetics of decomposition of an [PectΒ·Mn^VI^O~4~^2β^] intermediate complex have been investigated spectrophotometrically at various temperatures of 15β30Β°C and a constant ionic strength of 0.1 mol dm^β3^. The decomposition reaction was found to be firstβorder in the intermediate concentration. The results showed that the rate of reaction was baseβcatalyzed. The kinetic parameters have been evaluated and found to be Ξ__S__^β ^ = β 190.06 Β± 9.84 J mol^β1^ K^β1^, Ξ__H__^β ^ = 19.75 Β± 0.57 kJ mol^β1^, and Ξ__G__^β ^ = 76.39 Β± 3.50 kJ mol^β1^, respectively. A reaction mechanism consistent with the results is discussed. Β© 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Int J Chem Kinet 35: 67β72, 2003

## Abstract The kinetics of formation of the [PVA. Mn^VI^O] intermediate complex have been measured by the conventional spectrophotometric technique. The rate of formation of the complex was found to be given by the expression d[Complex]/d__t__ = __k__~1~[MnOβ~4~][PVA^β^]. The results showed that t
## Abstract The kinetics of oxidation of sarcosine by diperiodatocuprate(III) (DPC) was studied with spectrophotometry in a temperature range of 292.2β304.2 K. The reaction between diperiodatocuprate(III) and sarcosine in alkaline medium exhibits 1:1 stoichiometry (DPC:sarcosine). The reaction was
