โœฆ Synopsis

The kinetics and equilibria of the reaction: Br + CH,CH20CH2CH3 & HBr + CH3CHOCH2CH, have been studied in the temperature range 298-333 K by using the very low pressure reactor (VLPR) technique. Combining the estimated entropy change of reaction (11, AS; = 8.1 2 1.0 eu, with the measured AG;, we find AH, = 4.2 ? 0.4 kcal/mol; AHgCH,CHOC2H,) = -20.2 kcal/mol, and DH" [Et OCH(Me)-HI = 91.7 c 0.4 kcal/mol. We find: log k, (l/mol s) = 10.8 ( 2 0 . 7 ) -(3.9 c l.O)/O

where 6 = 2.3 RT in kcal/mol. It has been shown that the reaction proceeds via a loose transition state and the "contact 2' s" model calculation gives a very good agreement with the observed value.

The title reaction has been investigated in the temperature range 667-715K. The only reaction products were trifluorosilyl iodide and hydrogen iodide. The rate law was obeyed over a wide range of iodine and trifluorosilane pressures. This expression is consistent with an iodine atom abstraction mec

The title reaction has been investigated in the temperature range of 490-573 K. Initial reactant pressures were varied in the range of 0.2-5.2 torr (12) and 2-20 torr (C&,SiH3). The rate of iodine consumption, monitored spectrophotometrically, was found to obey both by initial rate and integrated e

The purpose of this study was to evaluate whether repeated 6-h exposure (65 exposures over a 14- week period) of male and female Fischer-344 rats (n = 12 rats/sex/concentration) to ethyl tertiary-butyl ether (ETBE) atmospheres at 500, 1750, or 5000 ppm would result in neurotoxicity. Neurotoxicity wa
