✦ Synopsis
Fine needle aspiration biopsy is an extremely useful procedure for the diagnosis of germ cell tumors. Most of the subtypes can be easily recognized and differentiated from other subtypes. For diffıcult cases clinical pathologic correlation may be extremely helpful in establishing a precise diagnosis. Mixed germ cell tumors may cause some diffıculty if one of the components is predominant. Immunohistochemistry may also play an important role in arriving at a definitive diagnosis.
