✦ Synopsis


Phase transformations in systems Ti 1.5 AleNH 3 and Ti 2 AleNH 3 are investigated under ammonia pressure of 1.5 MPa within the temperature range of 100e500 C in the presence of NH 4 Cl as an activator. Hydronitriding of the alloys Ti 1.5 Al and Ti 2 Al performed at 400 C is accompanied by formation of superfine hydridonitride phases of the intermetallides TiAl and Ti 3 Al with the particle sizes less than 1 micron.
