iterative numerical method has been suggested for calculating multicomponent vapourliquid equilibria from boiling temperature data involving minimization of temperature reciprocal residuals. For representation of the temperature as an implicit function of the liquid composition, the set of equations

✦ Synopsis
Based on thermodynamic
relationships and geometric concepts, a simple method is developed to interpolate isobaric or isothermal vapour-liquid equilibrium data of multicomponent systems. It is useful in reducing the amount of experimental work. Tests on five isobaric ternary systems indicate good agreement between experimental and computed results.
