โœฆ Synopsis


Extending our recent studies of Si2, Gez, and Snz, absorption spectra of the GeSi and SnSi molecules were observed at frequencies up to 3000 cm-' in argon matrices at 4 K. In each case the vibrational frequency in the ground state was determined, and the transition to the low-lying electronic state, 311+X %-, was observed as a vibrational progression. The experimental results are compared with the theoretical calculations of two groups.
