By comparison with the exact solution, obtained by numerical integration, the error of the approximation can be kept below a limit of about 5%. which is much lower

✦ Synopsis
An approximate equation is derived for the time variation of the ionic current during the constant voltage stage of the anodic oxidation process. The equation is given in terms of the normalized variables, ie the variable referred to its value during the constant-current stage. The influence of the series resistance in the anodization cell on the kinetics of the oxide growth is explicitly taken into account in the calculations. Experimental results obtained for tantalum oxide show a good agreement with the theory.

The process of ion transfer in passivating film on iron containing high concentrations of mobile protons are investigated in acid sulfate solutions by virtue of chronoamperometric, capacity and ellipsometric methods. On this base some non-stationary phenomena on passive iron are explained.
