Thick films of YBa2Cu307.O (YBCO) have been fabricated on Y203 substrates by reaction between a mixture of BaCuO 2 and Cut. It is necessary to fire films above the binary eutectic temperature in order for adequate reaction to take place. Films fired at 950Β°C and 1000Β°C are polycrystalline in nature
