✦ Synopsis
A sensitive and reproducible method for the determination of the sprout-inhibitors IPC and CIPC in potatoes has been developed. Both substances were hydrolyzed in acidic medium and corresponding anilines were determined after acetylation by means of gas chromatography using flame ionization detector. The detection limit for both compounds was 0.01 mg kg-'.
