β¦ Synopsis
A simplified procedure for the preparation of deoxynucleoside methyl-and arylphosphoramidites is described. Both types of phosphoramidites can be conveniently activated by N-methylaniline trifluoracetate for their use in oligodeoxynucleotide synthesis.

A convenient one-pot procedure for the preparation of 1-(diisopropylamino)phospholes has been developed. These phospholes have been used in a multistep procedure for synthesizing two new 2,2Π-biphosphole disulfide compounds. The structures and stereochemistry of these compounds have been studied by
An efficient scalable synthesis of 2-halothiazolium-type peptide coupling reagents has been developed. The key step is the formation of the 2-bromothiazole scaffold through cyclization of a-thiocyanato ketones with hydrogen bromide. Using this method, the new coupling reagent 2-bromo-N-methylthiazol
