## Abstract Polycrystalline bulk samples of the title compounds (0 ≀ x ≀ 0.4) are synthesized at low temperatures from stoichiometric amounts of Sm, Fe, As, Fe~2~O~3~, and FeF~2~ (370 Β°C for 5 h followed by sintering at 850 Β°C for 50 h).
