## Abstract Alkoxychlorofluorocyclopropanes are easily prepared by chlorofluorocarbene addition to en‐ethers in a two‐phase system and converted by simple heating in an aqueous solvent mixture to 2‐fluoro‐2‐alkenals which can be reduced to the corresponding alcohols.
