✦ Synopsis

An expedient method of Pd-catalyzed conversion of aldoxime into nitrile was developed. The reaction was carried out under the influence of Pd(OAc) 2 /PPh 3 in refluxing CH 3 CN to provide good to high yields. The use of Cs 2 CO 3 (0.1-0.5 equiv) was crucial in some cases.
