In order to determme mxroamounts of proteins wnth low molecular dlffismty, a flow method was developed by both mmlaturlzmg the common flow-mjectlon apparatus and using the dye assoclatlon method A very precise double-plunger mIcropump, which was recently developed for thts purpose, was used The optunum condttlons usmg bovme serum albumm (BSA) as standard and some Ion-assoctatron dye reagents at very low flow-rates were exammed It was shown that a flow-rate of less than 50 gl mm-' was acceptable when a short, small-bore reactton tube was used Up to 15 samples h-* could be analysed wrth a relatively long resdence tune, linear cahbratton graphs were obtamed tvtth both 8-4 volume ioop valve uqect~on and no-inJectian methods The detection hmtt and relative standard devlatlon of the mjectlon method were 0 003 pg ml-' and 0 15%, respectrvely, for BSA
