✦ Synopsis

In the title hydrated molecular salt, Ni(H~2~O)~6~·H~2~O, the Ni cation adopts a slightly distorted octahedral geometry. In the crystal structure, the component species interact by way of O—H...O and weak C—H...O interactions, resulting in a three-dimensional network.
