✦ Synopsis

In 70 newborns, mostly premature infants suffering from apnea, a simultaneous monitoring of ECG and apnea was carried out. 67~ of the infants showed cardiac arrythmias, mainly sinusbradycardia and atrioventricular block, in apnea. The causes of arrhythmias are discussed.
